During the recent 2021 ACR Annual Meeting, I unveiled a new group that is designed to support radiologists who push to address health disparities in research, advocacy efforts, artificial intelligence development, and medical student recruitment.

I recently presented at the 2021 meeting of the Society of Interventional Radiology on being elected chair of the Board of Chancellors of ACR, the first woman to hold this office in the society’s nearly 100-year history. I also highlighted the importance of taking an intersectional approach to mentoring and networking and gave ten central lessons for women and other under-represented groups in interventional radiology (IR).
